25 Day Challenge Intern Course
Lesson 2: Researching Your Niches
The following steps will enable you
to develop a list of targeted leads that will not only push you over the $2,500
Commission mark but also set you up so that:
·
You build
relationships with people in your chosen area
·
Have
people / organizations tagged to you that are candidates for ongoing purchases
of advertising and other products
·
Set you up
for Joint Venture Override Commissions as the Community Partners build the
communities and refer people to Cagora
Step 1: Identify you 'Passions' and Interests that you can imagine
yourself spending time gladly within those communities. You should focus mainly
on the broad topics such as Horses
Resources: http://groups.yahoo.com
http://meetup.com/topics
http://index.browseworlds.com
Process: Write topics down on a 'Mindmap' or if you
prefer just list them
Step 2: Submit your Preferences to communityenabler@gmail.com
Indicate whether
you prefer to workalone or part of a team (alone is fine, you can still be a
team player but prefer to do this by yourself)
Step 3: Start Researching your allocated areas to identify sub
communities that have an 'Overture' search count of greater than 1,500 and that
you can foresee people wanting to participate in an online community for that
topic.
Can you imagine
people posting videos, blogs, polls, articles, reviews and participating in
forums about the topic.
Ideally we need
to expect over time over 1,500 people will want to join the community and so
that this is likely there would probably need to be over 20,000 people
interested in the topic globally. An overture count of 1500 is also a good
guideline but is not related to number fo potential people necessarily.
1. Identify a major topic
2. Review the sub communities on
Browseworlds
3. Explore Yahoo Groups and Meetup noting
the sub communities that look worthwhile (typically more than 3 Yahoo Groups)
4. Use Google or another search engine to
review the area for ideas including searching if the topic was Crafts for
'Crafts Forum' 'Crafts Directory' Crafts Guide'
5. Organize your list and identify any
relevant groupings under subheadings similar to how ArtsnCrafts was done on
Browseworlds
6. Search Overture for the major term (eg
crafts) and note its search count and
the sub communities that look like online communities could be developed around
them
7. Search Overture and note the search count of each topic
