2. Make Calls (suggested script provided)
If the call is to a warm market the script should be adapted to be something that is appropriate for your existing relationship with the person.
Use the “What do you Think of this” Approach with your warm market, regardless of whether they are already advertising
For a cold call the following style of script should deliver good results:
" Hi,
My name is YOUR NAME and I'm working on a community service project called Co-OpWorld that is encouraging people to support local business.
We are creating a Local Community Directory here in LOCALWORLD and are wanting to put in as many businesses as possible with free detailed listings.
I would like permission to create a listing for BUSINESS NAME and then send you an email with the details so you can edit your account username and password. You'll also be able to update your listing at anytime via the Internet. The Local Community Directory listing will always remain a free service. We do have products available for local businesses like targeted internet advertising for those business owners that would like to expand on their current advertising promotions.
What I will need is an email address and your name so that we can include it in the email to verify that we have had permission to mail you the instructions."
Gather the data and then thank them for participating in the project.
Make sure you get:
- Business Name
- Contact Name
- Confirm the listing category
- and ask if they have any suggestions for the ad title or keywords

You may also want to printout the forms that will need to be filled out in Steps 3 and 4
IF THE PROSPECT IS KEEN YOU MAY WANT TO INTRODUCE THEM TO THE BUSINESSBOOSTERS by telling them a bit about the products and how after they have been sent the email, the second link in the menu on the LocalWorld site has an overview of the Business Boosters.
